Special Event! Join us for Opening Celebration Gala: The Return

Gala Event

Sun, Oct 10 at 2:00 pm

Gala chairs: Robert and Laura Garrett

This concert event is the perfect way to celebrate and support the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra.

Lobby Entertainment: 2 pm

The fun begins as soon as you walk in the door. All gala and concert guests will be treated to a pre-concert entertainment in the lobby.

Concert: 3 pm

Music Director Xian Zhang conducts the NJSO in Beethoven’s celebratory Seventh Symphony. Plus, there’s brand new music to mark the new season: Michael Abels, who wrote the score for the Oscar-winning film Get Out, launches us with his riveting new orchestral work, Emerge. And our new Resident Artistic Catalyst, Daniel Bernard Roumain, taps his Haitian roots as he solos in his own Voodoo Violin Concerto.

Take-home Gala Dinner

Originally scheduled as an in-person gala dinner, our event has transitioned to provide boxed dinners (including an entrée, sides, dessert and a bottle of wine) for our gala guests to pick up and enjoy at home after the performance. Guests will also have access to valet parking and a dedicated VIP entrance to the venue.

Net proceeds from this fundraising event will support the artistic and educational programs of the NJSO.

All gala guests must follow current NJPAC COVID safety protocols and are required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination via a vaccine card or through an app such as the Docket App upon arrival.
